| Planting House Churches |
| The New Testament is the pattern. The kind of churches we read about in the New Testament were those that met in homes (Rom.16:5), were participatory and interactive by all the members (1Cor.14:26), observed the Lord’s Supper frequently as a full meal (Acts 2:46) and were led by a plurality of co-equal male elders (Acts 20:28; Titus 1:5-7; 1Pet.5:1-4). These churches are simple, informal, and easy to reproduce. When the members outgrow the size of someone’s home, a new church is planted. |
